Business Advisory Firm Adds Healthcare & Compliance Industry Expert
Washington, DC – Monday, October 9, 2017 – Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura) announced today the appointment of F. Lisa Murtha as a Senior Managing Director. Based in the Philadelphia office, Ms. Murtha brings more than 30 years of healthcare, research, billing, fraud and abuse, HIPAA privacy, and compliance experience to Ankura’s healthcare offerings.
Ms. Murtha’s background as a research practice leader is focused on providing operational and compliance consulting services to life sciences organizations, research sites, contract research organizations, and investigators across the globe.
While she began her career as a healthcare attorney, Ms. Murtha became one of the first healthcare chief compliance officers in the United States and has been providing compliance services to healthcare providers, payers, and life sciences organizations for the past 25 years. In addition, she was a founding board member and officer of the Health Care Compliance Association and the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. She is currently a faculty member of the Loyola Beazley Institute of Health Law and Policy and the Drexel (Kline) School of Law, where she teaches research and general healthcare compliance courses.
