Ann Emberson is a Managing Director at Ankura Consulting Group based in Washington, DC. She has more than 20 years of experience managing multiple, large, complex projects in both commercial and government environments.
Ms. Emberson is currently leading a settlement administration project for a large medical device mass tort. She collaborates with system users, claim reviewers and developers to ensure the claims processing system and processes meet the clients’ needs as well as the terms of the settlement agreements. She ensures established processes and procedures are followed and updates are documented.
Ms. Emberson’s professional experience includes:
- Supported a key defendant in an oil spill investigation and litigation resulting from a major event. Managed the team responsible for data processing, document review workflow development, and more than 15 terabytes of incoming and outgoing production volumes.
- Managed ongoing eDiscovery provider agreements with multiple major corporations. Created client portals that serve as a single repository for project metrics, key documents, ingestion logs, and instruction guides. Established frameworks and best practices for managing and executing projects. Industries supported include Pharmaceutical and Energy.
- Managed technical, schedule and budget execution of multiple Government projects. Included developing and implementing a corrective plan for completion of a high visibility government project meeting technical requirements within the remaining budget and schedule; managing multiple simultaneous prototype and production projects; initiating a 19-person engineering and software development contract.
- Participated on a small team charged with reengineering the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence (OSD(C3I)) organization in response to the Secretary’s Defense Reform Initiative.
Ms. Emberson holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.
